Why, Starbucks, Why?

Somehow, I’ve always been a bit wary of Starbucks. Nothing major wrong with the coffee, I’d guess (except the through the roof price), but there’s just something about the company I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Now I can.

Really strange. Being in a hole, when a kind soul gives you a shovel, why for heaven’s sake would you keep digging yourself deeper into it?! If my memory serves me right, there is this huge tech company – the name escapes me now, but it’s kinda short and starts with a ‘G’ I think – that gives very substantial rewards to those revealing security holes in their products.

Starbucks should perhaps slightly revise their strategy as to responding to those who want to tell them they’ve got a security problem. How about saying ‘thanks’? I wonder if a giveaway USD 10 gift card would be stretching it way too much.
