Ease of Twitter, power of RSS: Lazyscope [updated!]

There are tons of Twitter clients around – is there really a need for an additional one? Well, in case it’s possible to combine the power of RSS with the ease of Twitter use, there just might be. The main idea with Lazyscope is that using RSS is just too complicated for most people and Twitter alone lacks quite a bit of the punch RSS provides. So, why not make the use of real time web a bit easier by combining the two?

Lazyscope is built using AdobeAir (you’re out of luck, iPad users!) and the software is still in beta but, after a very quick check, I must say I’m pretty impressed. It’s just as easy to subscribe to a site as it is to follow a Twitter user and Lazyscope also pre-fetches lots of data so most often the photos or videos display almost instantaneously.

Lazyscope has quite a few additional bells and whistles as well and it sure will be interesting to see what will come up next!
